The NV-GS27 is the entry-level MiniDV product from Panasonic that's undoubtedly aimed fair and square at the total home video newbie. In that respect it will fulfil only the most basic requirements of the user - namely to insert a tape, switch it on, point, shoot DV and play it back pretty soon to the family and friends. It does come with an attraction in that , along with its NV-GS37 sibling it has an impressive 30:1 (30x) Optical Zoom Lens, however.
